Restaurant Finder - Search for Restaurants
How to Find a Restaurant
You will have the ability to use the Restaurant Finder on every page of the web site by using the Search Tools in the top right column. You will be able to search by one or all of the criteria listed. These criterion are described in detail below:
- Keyword: If you know you are looking for a specific keyword or key phrase, you can search using this criterion. An example would be steak or Beauman's Steakhouse.
- Restaurant Type: All the different restaurant types will be listed here. If you know you are interested in Chinese Food, you will select Chinese from this drop down menu. Or you can browse restaurants by type.
- Food Type: The main food types will be listed here. If you know you are interested in seafood, you will find this selection in this drop down box. Or you can browse restaurants by food type.
- City: This drop down box will contain all the towns within Howard County in which there is a participating restaurant. Use this or Zip Code to find your local restaurants. Or you can browse restaurants by city.
- Zip Code: If there is a specific zip code that you want to search within, you would enter that zip code in this field to do a restaurant search by zip code.
- Proximity: This feature must be used in conjunction with the Zip Code Field above it. When a zip code is entered and a Proximity selected (example: 5-10 miles), you will see all restaurants within a 5-10 mile radius of the zip code entered.
- Restaurants by Name: You can also view lists of restaurants in Howard County by using the alphabetic restaurant links found on our browse restaurants page.
